If you over pack breakable holiday items it might take you hours to pack and unpack. Since you need to take care of your fragile items sometimes its might be best to store them in their original box (if possible) or bubble wrap. Tissue paper also provides enough protection and still makes it easy to pack and unpack year after year. Use your leftover tissue paper from your Holiday wrapping or pick some up the day/weekend after Christmas. There's usually tons of discounted large tissue paper packs leftover each year.
