The month of May is Moving Month.
One of the biggest stresses you will ever experience in your life is moving. Moving includes, decluttering, cleaning out, packing, finding a realtor, finding a new place to live, hiring a mover or finding friends to help, transferring utilities, changing your address, buying and/or selling a house, unpacking & getting settling in. Craziness!
A lot of people run into difficulties due to poor or incomplete planning. A little preparation makes a huge difference.
Practical Organizing Tips . . .
CHECKLIST - Create a moving checklist of absolutely everything you will need to do to move, from start to finish. Then assign a deadline for completing each item & check them off when completed.
DECLUTTER - If you don't need it or haven't used it in years, leave it behind. Why take the time to pack it, move it & unpack it if you probably won't ever use it again. The decluttering process might take some time but the benefits equal less stress. Make your home more attractive and saleable by removing clutter and organizing your rooms and closets. So have a yard sale, take your things to a consignment store or call a local charity come pick up your donation.
LABEL - Reduce unpacking time by organizing and labeling as you pack.
