National Teacher Appreciation Week 2011 is May 1–7.
Since 1984, National PTA® has designated the first full week in May as PTA Teacher Appreciation Week, a special time to honor the men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating our children. PTA events at the national, state, and local levels celebrate the outstanding contributions teachers make.
Take time this week to thank your favorite teacher!
It's not unusual to find a teacher going out of his or her way to help a student. There is no better way to show your teacher appreciation for the extra help by buying or making them a teacher gift. Your appreciation gift for your child's teacher doesn't need to be extravagant, even a simple note of thanks can really go a long way to making someone feel special and valued.
